Minimum Qualifications: •High School Diploma or GED, plus four years of experience in procurement, materials management or business processes. •Must possess, or ability to obtain within first thirty days of employment, and maintain a valid New Mexico Class “D” driver’s license. •Must successfully complete the county’s physical examination prior to commencing work.
Preferred Qualifications: •Certified Professional Public Buyer. •Experience in government or public sector purchasing
Duties are essentially 1) reviews PRs; 2) creates POs; 3) gets quotes when needed; 4) places and follows up on orders; 4) creates and processes bids; 5) inventory buying as needed; 6) future – P-Card administrator.
