Dotty called the meeting to order at 1:30PM. She welcomed the Board Members pre= sent.
Casandra presented us with= a report on the NIGP courses, but could not stay for the meeting. The report included both revenues = and expenses.
Agenda was approved by those present.
Minutes of the last meeting in October 2007, had previ= ously been approved through e-mails by the board.
Discussion:
WEBSITE:
We experienced some problems with the website, the president’s message had an end date of December 31, 2007 and that part shut down on the web site, it is date sensitive and the information was deleted. New data will be upl= oaded by Audrey including information on the Ruidoso Conference, Board Members, <= span class=3DGramE>Comments from Board etc.

James submitted the Treasurer’s Report. The Association expenditures conti= nue to increase and revenues are down. Web site maintenance and conference expenses account for some of the major expenses. Motion was made by = Marco to approve the report, Joann 2nd. Motion carried.
NIGP:
Classes:
Kathy Sanchez will review data from NIGP regarding tra= inings we can offer at our conferences related to pricing, maximum attendees and credits received.
Member listing:
James will need to turn in rooster for the membership regarding the dues we need to pay, there is a co= st savings if we provide data regarding members and non-members of NIGP.

seems to be the biggest expense followed by Cost for Speakers. It was felt that the speakers shou=

provide their materials. All
presentation costs should be included in the Speaker’s contract or el=

we should see a reduction in the fee charged. Mileage and per diem should also b=

on a contract that will spell out all costs. Discussion followed regarding conf=

fees. Some board members felt=

the board had voted to increase the fees for all conferences during the mee=
ting

Discussion followed as to whether we should solicit information from the membership, as to which is of more importance to them- NMPPA offer more Trainings/Workshops or Presentations by Speakers regarding motivation, work tools, etc. =
Dotty will prepare a flyer (Myrna has offered to help)= to mail out with information regarding the Ruidoso conference. Invitations will also be sent out = to Vendors for the vendor show and conference registration. Kathy Sanchez will help with information regarding the vendors for the State and forward that information to James.
Only the new board members will receive shirts this ye= ar.
A Statement will be added to the conference form outli= ning the number of days prior to the conference that a registrant can expect a refund if unable to attend.
Member dues:
Membership dues are due- Motion was made by James and = 2nd by Joann that if dues are paid by March 31, 2008 the dues are $25. April 1, 2008 the dues will be $35. Motion carried. This amount i= s both for membership and affiliate dues. This information will also be posted on the Web.
James is having problems giving credit when he receives checks. The checks do not con= tain names of the persons to be credited; only the agency name is there without = any other information.
Honorary Memb=
ers:
Motion was made by James that we make the State Purcha= sing Agent or his designee an honorary member, able to attend all meetings of the board with non-voting privileges and with advisory capacity. Kathy M 2nd the motion.= Motion passed.
TAOS 2008 VEN=

The Fall Conference will be held at Sagebrush Inn for = 2008.
RUIDOSO SPRING
CONFERENCE:
Speakers include Jennie Ready, Tim Collins, with break= out sessions.
Dotty will give an opening address at the March Confer= ence; she will ask for volunteers for the different committees, we will have sign= up sheets available.
The chapter charter will be 10 years old in 2008. Plans are to invite someone from N= IGP and possibly Melinda Via along with members from the original board, to att= end our March Conference in Ruidoso to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. Discussion followed regarding the different things we can do to celebrate.&n= bsp; Plaques will also be presented.&nbs= p; Motion was made by James that NMPPA comp the room for one night for those original board members attending the Ruidoso Conference that cannot afford it 2nd by Kathy S. Motion carried.
IN STATE CERTIFICATION TRAINING AND MATERIALS:
For now, in state certification will be on hold, those persons completing their credits will still receive their certificates, but= we need to work on the data for the classes and the structure. Dotty shared with the board some materials she got from the internet. These ideas will be used to work on the class structure, testing and requirements for certification.

NMPPA will sponsor the NIGP 2008 conference expenses f= or Dotty (President) and Kathy Sanchez (her name was drawn from all other name= s of the members of the board) with Audrey Torres as the alternate in case Dotty= or Kathy cannot attend.
